    New Mixer Shower

Gotcha (I think). So I put a hose (attached to mains) physically into the pipe, by feeding it into the cold water tank and into the pipe?

    New Mixer Shower

pump is on a vertical pipe in the airing cupboard, next to the hwc. Pump at a height that is about 1/5th of the height of the cylinder. There is a horizontal run of about 3-4 metres between the cold water tank and the vertical drop to the shower valve. You think that might be airlocked? How...

    New Mixer Shower

No - I can't see any hot water feed into the pump. Pump is inline, very similar to the ch pump. (you can probably tell from my inane ramblings I don't know what this pump does!) Gate valve stops when I turn on and off. Pipe in which pump is sited(which is in the airing cupboard) goes up into...

    Garage Electrics

JohnD - I put in the conduit when I had the garage erected (it is a concrete prefab). The conduit goes through the wall at ground level. I should say that small gap between the garage and the house is fenced off both from and back, and so no-one will have access to trip over or interfere with...

    Garage Electrics

OK. Thank you for that. I have insisted on metal-clad sockets, mainly for strength. Should I have the light-switch and also the FCU metal-clad too?

    Garage Electrics

Hello. I have a NICEIC registered electrician coming round to do some work, and I'm not sure that what he is proposing is correct. Please could you verify or otherwise for me. I have a semi-detached house with a garage to which I need power; a light and 2 double sockets. The sockets will...
