    time to renounce religion..

But there's a reason why you asked yourself the "belief in magic" question. So if you don't believe in magic then you'll conceptually search for some other answer to that question, and that will form your positive belief. This certainly beats domestic discussions over shopping lists, jobs...

    time to renounce religion..

I don't think that at all. I don' think religion is ridiculous, if that's what you're saying. Each to their own. Belief and religion are 2 totally different things. You can believe or not believe in things far removed from religion, it still requires a decision to believe. I believe that you'll...

    time to renounce religion..

I don't see it that way. I choose to believe something, and I choose not to believe something. If I don't have any concept of that something, I can't have a default position of non-belief in it - surely I can't have any position. It's probably semantics tho'.

If you've edited your registry before, you've no doubt developed the habit of backing up your registry before editing it.....?

If I have 1 regret in life so far, it's that I didn't take a philosophy degree... Maybe one day....

    time to renounce religion..

I do live my life according to my non-belief in cheese goblins. If I did believe in them it would probably affect my attitude towards cheese, or whatever else these mythical cheese goblins correspond to. But because I don't believe in cheese goblins it still affects my attitude towards those...

    time to renounce religion..

There is neither proof that God exists, nor proof that God does not exist. Atheism is a belief system. It's a belief that God doesn't exist. Are you saying that Atheists don't believe in anything, they just not believe in things?

    time to renounce religion..

Religions only have formal doctrines when a person or persons get around to documenting them. Atheists believe that there is no God, and base their approach to life around that belief. Therefore, since a religion is simply a belief system, Atheism can be said to be a religion. No subject...

    time to renounce religion..

Since we don't know what the origins of creation are, why can't our educators teach that? There's nothing wrong with saying "We don't know....". It would be a falsehood to teach otherwise. Give people the facts and the options and let them decide for themselves. Otherwsie they're just as guilty...

    time to renounce religion..

Big Tone, don't confuse the religious establishment with God. It's 2 different things entirely. Just because some misguided church folks did something several hundred years ago that we can now judge to be wrong and grossly ignorant in the light of our current knowledge doesn't mean that...

    time to renounce religion..

Maybe it's possible to believe in a "literal/personal creation" and still understand scientific method - and also understand the limitations of the extent of our scietific knowledge. We're a very arrogant race to assume that we can understand absolutely everything, aren't we? Perhaps we can, one...

    Picture Hanging

As far as hanging height is concerned, it's totally subjective. You're looking at them, so put them at a height that's good for you. It all depends on the size of what you're hanging, the size of the room in which your hanging it, the available light, position of doors and windows, etc, etc. No...

how do i remove paint stain from Franke Fragranite sink?

Franke do recommend Bar Keepers Friend for cleaning their fragranite sinks. I've not had to clean gloss paint off mine, but I can tell you it works for everything else I've had to shift. You can get it from Sainsbury's and Asda, I've never seen it in Tesco's tho'. Costs a couple of quid for a...

    time to renounce religion..

Religion/faith/call it what you will is not a choice to live in ignorance of how we came to be here - quite the opposite in fact. It offers an alternative explanantion to the random principle which surely has to be accepted otherwise. There's no reason why a person of faith cannot also devote...

Wireless printers - how do they connect?

I didn't repeat your post. I simply sought to explain it using layman's terms, the motivation for which I've already explained, but you don't accept. We'll have to disagree on that, which I'm content to do. I'm prepared to leave it to the OP to take whatever information he wishes from this post...

Wireless printers - how do they connect?

It may be the correct terminology, I haven't disputed that, but it may not be universally clear to all readers. If you look back at some of the OP's previous posts you'll see that he is not "PC savvy" (his words, not mine), hence my attempt to pur your correct information into something more...

Wireless printers - how do they connect?

No problem, just putting what you said in plainer language as I thought it might help the OP - can't remember the last time I heard anyone refer to a "cellular network"....

    Ronseal Radiator Paint

I've just been to a Dulux Trade Centre and they recommended the Hammerite radiator paint. Is that any better than the Ronseal? Is it an oil based enamel? They also suggested I could use an acrylic based gloss... Any comments on that?
