Vokera linea 28. Error 04, water pressure OK. Micro switch is not pressed.

capacitors fail gradually so at some point the problem could be intermittent, does the spindle sometimes come out slowly and presses the switch, and sometimes half out? there is a rubber diaphragm in there but if that was split maybe it would never come on. Not sure

pressure isn't the same as flow. Its the lack of flow which is the problem. As i keep saying if the pump rotates freely its probably the capacitor that is weak. If there is not enough flow the spindle wont come out and you'll get a lock out. Nothing to do with system pressure. What do you mean...

Would these tools be beneficial to me?

looks good, 375w is decent for 6" and SIP are pretty good usually. I have a big belt/disc sander of theirs and car jack and both impressed me

    Diamond Core drill

These are the brushes, https://www.partshopdirect.co.uk/makita-replacement-carbon-brushes-brush-pair-cb419-hp1641-p191962-4/ if you see the line half way up thats the wear limit. I bought my 9" bosch angle grinder for pence because it was dead and it was just needing new brushes.

Not used it in anger yet, should be good though, I've a makita vac so i'm hoping for a nice marriage and minimal dust when i do

    Diamond Core drill

Sounds like one of the brushes isn't contacting properly. probably just worn down. Though maybe try slapping the sides few times in case it just not sliding due to dust. If its not the version with easy access to brushes you'd have to take the case off but changing brushes usually straight forward

    Diamond Core drill

I've got the same and was about to recommend it. Still made in Japan and you can feel the quality. I got a used makita wall chaser the other day. Made in 2019 IN ENGLAND! What time warp did that come out of i wonder.

Jig saw or curcular saw for cutting down deck boards and framing for transport to recycling.

Anything fabricating with metal. I particularly wanted it to cut sheet metal up for teaching my kids welding as its so much quicker and quieter than using an angle grinder which i've always got by with along with a chop saw.

Anyone still using this style of plumbers bag?

Not sure how they compare the IKEA ones but I've been buying multiple £1 bags from the till at B&Q, must be over 30 by now, using them as reusable rubble sacks. They stay open so I can throw things in, they hold as much plasterboard as i can carry, they rarely tear and i've had no failures of...

Anyone still using this style of plumbers bag?

the ones like that i've seen are thin canvas, no base, weak zips and doesn't have the flopping open benefit. I'm ok with what I have anyway, I would like one of those bags though if anyone has a spare. But i was mainly curious what happed to them

Anyone still using this style of plumbers bag?

Even for doing just my house I've got separate bags, one for electrical, one for plumbing and a bigger general one. I guess why these used to be called carpenters/plumbers bags is because its not (or wasn't) a great big array of tools for those. I ended up buying a Nerrad pipe bender bag and...

Anyone still using this style of plumbers bag?

I never had to dump them on the floor when i had one of those old bags, opening wide as they do, they form a movable floor covering where the tools are laid down between using them. Most of the work we were doing was industrial and quite often repetitive like one place we installed maybe 50...

Anyone still using this style of plumbers bag?

I have that sort of bag, everything ends up lost in the bottom unless i waste time putting each thing carefully in its place. What happens is when i bring tools out i lay them on the floor between using them and when i'm done i have to carefully put each one back, or chuck them randomly in the...

Anyone still using this style of plumbers bag?

Back in the late 80s I was a plumbing apprentice and I remember we all had these bags. I might be rose tinted glasses on this but i seem to remember when you put the bag down the tools are all spread out on the floor (on the canvas) fairly well for you to see and then its easy to pick the bag up...

Method or madness in this CH installation?

is it possible with an old non-condensing boiler? https://www.vokera.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/maxin_24e_28e_installation_and_servicing_-instructions.pdf it was just fully open when we got here and was very noticeably raising return temp as soon as it started while the rest of the return...

Jig saw or curcular saw for cutting down deck boards and framing for transport to recycling.

i'm not entirely surprised if Parkside isn't half bad, they have come up in quality a lot, I've got their plasma cutter with inbuilt compressor and a few other things that seem decent enough for hobby use anyway. milwaukee are also made in china, but I'm assuming will be more robust but then i...

Method or madness in this CH installation?

What would be useful is an outdoor temp reader linked which changed the target temp of the boiler. It wont work on mine as no way to control that other than a manual pot (or does it?) but I can imagine it would be a useful way to do macro adjustments to the system
