The ticking is approximately 10 seconds apart, It's a relay doing its job. I assume its the pressure switch. Gas is on demand is there, Just gets to the point where the pilot should light but it dosen't. No fast ticking of an ignition attempt.

Baxi Barcelona refusing to ignite. Thermistors, fan,system pumps condensate trap all check out. The boiler goes to the point of ignition but does not ignite the pilot. Just sits there making clicking noises about 10 seconds apart. Eventually locks out.

I think your talking about the three way valve . If the rest of the system is full its not that. Turn off all the radiators that are getting warm this can push airlocks through. Some systems can be a bit picky when refilled and usually settle eventually. Unless during drain down a glob of...

On a pressurised system yes. Open vented system would do the same but the pressure would blow out the open vent. DONT DO IT!
