    pushfit connectors/plastic pipe and inserts

The little brown coated man, was he a B&Q reject? Pushfit either speedfit or hep20 is fine on copper without inserts as the rigid pipe will not crush. Plastic pipe has to be supported by an insert and also the correct insert. Stainless steel for the grey hep20, white plastic with little rubber...

I get where your coming from with that. What I also tried the first time the thing packed up was to completely remove the board and short with a piece of wire the live neutral and earth terminals with a piece of wire i.e. a dead board. I assume thats how they come when new. When it was...

LOL no! I'm not brave enough to cause it to lock out on that again. Unless you have a spare board handy. 2 boards is enough. Wonder if it could be anything to do with the ignition board on the gas valve. Better leave well alone i think

OK Thanks for that. I thought this boiler could be reset by turning the power off for 20-30 seconds. Not sure if it is a resetting board or just powers the pcb down when switched to "off". If the display pcb was faulty why does it work on a new main pcb? The switch is intact (checked when i...

OK thanks for the cure but what is going to happen if the gas has to be turned off again? Which circuit board needs replacing the knob/ display or/and the main pcb? What will happen if a different lockout occurs? Starting to wish I'd had a halstead ace installed instead of this cheaper one
