Nipped back round today and checked pins etc.. still no joy H/W only works fine cutting on and of with cylinder stat H/W and Heating - both coming on and off independantly with stats as they should Heating only - nothing ?? :?: Any more ideas

Too true :roll: Yes there was two of us there in the end and the sparky ( had to keep an eye on him though !! ) checking all of the connections - it just doesn't make sense - have you come across anything similar ?

We recently upgraded a gravity hot water system to fully pumped with an ACL Y plan pack but also using a Honeywell mid position valve ( dont know why - when I had got there one of the lads had decided to mix and match the packs - not that it should matter which valve is used ) - What we can't...

When you fitted the new ball valve did you check that the water is filling to the correct level ? and that it is functioning properly ? Also just to check - is it all of the hot water outlets or just one ? ie not a tap barrel that needs adjusting ?

I would agree - replace the pump valves as they are inexpensive. Be careful when draining - the majority of times the 15mm gate valve on the cold feed will be stuck so you may have to turn the water off ( or tie up the ball valve if you have done before and are confident in doing so ). Drain...

I was under the impression that TRV's must be fitted when upgrading the system/ replacing the boiler/ converting to a combi etc..
