Draining Central Heating/Combi Boiler ; Vailliant Ecotec

I did this recently via the bathroom towel radiator and I made a terrible mess with water all over the floor. I am sure there is a dedicated outlet valve/pipe to the outside from the boiler which I saw a plumber draining the system to a while ago. Which valve would I turn underneath the boiler...

How do I remove this bathroom radiator ?

I don't think I have a decorators cap, if I turned down the TRV valve to off / frost icon, would this have the same effect ?

    Boiler making chugging noise

My Vailiant Ecotec Plus boiler sometimes starts making a very loud chugging noise, it doesn't sound healthy. Pressing the pilot light restart button seems to resolve the problem temporarily. Recently this has started happening every time it has been on for a few hours. Please see this youtube...

    Repairs For Old Roof

Hi, The roof of my Victorian 2 bedroom house is quite old and in need of some fairly urgent repairs. Ideally a professional would come in and replace the whole thing, but I can't afford that at the moment. If viable, a much better option for me would be to do some cheapish repairs myself...

    Finishing Decorating Work in Bedroom

I decorated my bedroom about 2 years ago, but haven't had time to finish the job until now, partly through not having the knowledge about how to do it to a high standard. I am interested in a really nice finish. Please can you give me advice about how to do this and what materials I will need? I...

    Yard and Garden Renovation

What I had in mind was sticking with the existing design, but merge the old / broken concrete area and patio slab area into one big paved area all on the same level. Does this sound like a good idea? Do you have a better idea? Here is a diagram of the existing design : Garden diagram

    Yard and Garden Renovation

Yes I do want to make a start myself on the patio / concrete area, or at least understand the basic steps that would be involved. I would like the new surface all on one level, across the existing concrete and patio area, with any water draining off into the drain system not into the garden. And...

    Yard and Garden Renovation

Hi, The concrete, patio and garden area at the back of my house is currently a complete disaster zone. There is some old concrete outside the back door which is old, cracked and uneven. I think the patio slab area is a bit of a botch job legacy from one of the previous owners, there are...
