    BAXI Bermuda problem....

Yes BOB I did have a look at the burner, It looked OK to me, and the flame seemed to be behaving as it should, there were no flames leaving the burner and going off at strange angles, and they were also nice and blue.

I am still waiting for my card as well.... I tried to renew online and could not access the part of the process that allowed me to register my   "Everyone must have by April part L qualification"  so I called CORGI and then I was told that because I had called them I...

    BAXI Bermuda problem....

OK.... The story so far... " Along time ago in a galaxy far far away" (Not sure if Orpington in Kent counts as a different Galaxy but I'm sure it is not of this world.. MMmmm) I get asked by a friend of mine to service his back boiler because "It has been over a year since it's last Service"...

Quiet COmbi Boiler - What do you recommend?

I install Worcester-Bosch and I find them very quiet... I suppose the answer to this question depends on the engineers preference and how deep your pockets are. Just stick with the good makes and you won't go far wrong..

    Baxi or Vokera

I have found the Platinum range quite tricky to fit. I have found the Jig is a pile of c**p. I pulled the Baxi rep aside at the PHEX at Chelsea and explained my grievances to him, after a bit of arm twisting and a game of "slaps" he confessed that the reasons for these problems was because they...

69.00 for an engineer to come out before he does out.....

My wife would go mad if I started squirting red silicone all over her nice clean glass oven door. It has taken her years to learn how to change the colour of my food from red or white to black and charred without the colour of the silicone taking away her glory.

HELP PLEASE.NEW-BORN BABY IN THE HOUSE!!!!

The boiler PRV (Pressure Relief valve) is letting by this is because the pressure has at some point climbed in excess of 3 Bar and the boiler has done it's job correctly by making the situation safe. When the PRV blows it is very rare that they reseat themselves properly, so it will need...

    Energy Conservation...

What is the cheapest way to run a Hot Water Cylinder ? I can't remember the answer to this question !!! If a household has a domestic hot water cylinder that complies with BS1566 and a cylinder stat (Guess who has just done the Energy Efficiency Course) Less said about that waste of time the...

Heating ok but not hot water - combi boiler

Ruth... If the boiler is only 3 months old then I would suggest that your first port of call is to contact the CORGI registered installer that installed it. He should offer to come out and have a look over his work just to check that you are not making any mistakes with the user controls. If...

    Callout charge

I agree with all the above comments. Just pay the man and be proud that you have done the right thing. If you want this sort of work done for free then get yourself pregnant and get a flat from the local council, they will happily fix your boiler for nothing. I know it hurts but just pay up !!!

    Ariston Micro combi 27 MFFI

I called Ariston/MTS today and spoke to Mr Ariston and on and on. To be honest the "Techie" was very helpful and had to admit in the end that he didn't know the answer. The only real help was that the flashing flue sensor LED should not flash at all, there should only be a continuous amber light...

    Ariston Micro combi 27 MFFI

Yours is in the post mate... (I wrote it on the back of the Installation/service manual for an Ariston Micro Combi 27MFFI because that is all it's good for) Thanks for your help and I will let you know how I get on.

    Ariston Micro combi 27 MFFI

I will check these things out... It just seems strange that the fume sensor light is flashing (Whatever that thing is).. It says in the Instal/service manual that this is when the appliance is not disposing of it's products properly, but why only on C/H.. surely if this was at fault then the H/W...

    Ariston Micro combi 27 MFFI

I even tried cursing it in Italian.... Agile you are of course right, it is never the boilers fault that we don't understand it.. I am going to ring technical in the morning but thought that maybe the learned people here may have had the same problem. Thanks for your input.

    Ariston Micro combi 27 MFFI

I have been asked to repair a Ariston Micro combi MFFI for a letting agent I do a load of work for (I try to avoid Aristons like the plague) I have tried working my way round the boiler with my multi meter but have drawn a blank. I have bundles of H/W and the boiler chugs along quite merrily...

    Gas Analysers...

I am finally being persuaded to look into buying a Gas Analyser for my boiler commissions and repairs etc. I have looked through the CORGI Direct book and they have a list of about 6 different machines. I have pretty much narrowed it down to 2 machines which are.. 1... Telegan Anton Sprint 2000...
