Depends where in France it is, certain departments like us in the Lot have an agreement with Orange to put fibre to the home even to the most remote houses. Basically if you have a phone line here you will have fibre on the pole . Look for a T shaped metal bracket on top of the pole.

I'd use a screw on connector, but try the glue first, if it doesn't hold just cut a bit of the cable off and buy a screw on connector, they don't cost much.
That's a compression fitting, you need a tool to put it on. Screw on fittings can be found in most DIY shops.
Superglue or tape might work for a while if it's indoors.
I'd start by clearing the moss off the sill, and checking the gutters either side.
It looks like the roof is at too shallow an angle, the sill looks as if its not letting the rain drain away fast enough.

Being a bit deaf, I use them most of the time, I haven't noticed any delay, I have some Philips ones at the moment but also have ones from Lidl which were fine as well.
The easiest way will be to find a phone shop in Paris such as SFR, Orange or Bouyges, and buy a sim there, but they are very limited, usually no more than 4GB of data (or "GO" as they call it here) and recharges are not cheap.
Both good makes, I've got a Panasonic, you can set the aspect ratio to auto, or fix it to various options, I would imagine most tv's give you the choice.
