    Mitre saw blades

You can use a smaller diameter blade in your saw, you may have to use a sacrificial piece of wood under the laminate and against the fence to enable it to cut through. :)

i need a jigsaw blade to cut curves through 65mm oak

I've used these on green and seasoned thick oak; http://www.axminster.co.uk/bosch-bosch-t344dp-precise-deep-cutting-jigsaw-blades-prod23437/?searchfor=t344dp but you will need a powerfull saw and one with blade guides to cut accurately, I use the Bosch gst135.

    Which Ipod

I bought my Ipod touch a few months ago, my first ipod. I use it for music, videos, reading books, and the internet if i'm out near a wi-fi hotspot. My wife thought I was daft buying one (too old at 50!), but strangely after a few days I had to buy another for her. Great piece of kit.

Would a cheap band saw cut this ?

If you've got a local sawmill they may do it for you, might be worth asking a neighbour if they know anyone, thats the way it works round here. :)

    this cant be right

Threaten to sue them through the small claims court, it costs you little or nothing, and shows them that you won't back down. Surrely they could have repaired the original part if they could have been bothered? I had an espace a few years ago and stopped taking it to the main dealer for service...

    Best budget, corded SDS drill???

I have two of the one in your first link, I've used one to renovate my house, chipping mortar off and drilling holes in the stone walls, even using one to remove stones to make a hole through the three feet thick walls. I'm trying to kill them so that I can buy a Bosch GBH, but they won't die...

Hanging a solid pine kitchen unit

Sounds like a split batten, if you take a piece of 2x1 and cut it in half lengthways at 45 degrees then screw half to the wall and the other half to the carcass, then the two battens interlock holding the unit in place. Can't you just screw it to the wall?
