air locked??...... slacken pump end screw and allow air out as the pump runs and then hopefully will make the flow switch and fire it up...... guessing its a an Ace High combi???....... crystal ball working??

any way the expansion vessel isnt that hard to replace on these boilers, its down the side behind the electronics, better than down the back!!

pcb fault, you are jogging the relays into working....... replace and all should be well

Hate to state the obvious but the taps worked before now they dont, it is very difficult to airlock mains pressure of any reasonable calibre so if its going through a combi boiler? to hot and direct to the cold tap there must be a restriction of some kind to these taps. All other taps are okay...

I would check the taps themselves first if all other taps ok

Surely you have mains supply to kitchen cold???........ certainly wouldnt have storage tank water to my chilled water ice thingy......yuk... On a more serious note , isolation valves fully open??.... cant say I have ever had an air locking problem on kitchen cold, hot yes if off gravity fed...

Had a similar problem on a Bentone burner, ran for a short period perfectly then locked out randomly then refired normally after being reset. Combustion etc spot on ....Traced it to the solenoid not opening on the pump now and then , the coil obviously giving up after a bit but fine after a wee...

Thermostatic shower in the house?? Mains cold often crosses over past the poppet valves and pressurises hot tank, murder for unvented as it lifts the safety valves but vented would as you know just shoves hot out into the cold tank. Its a suggestion :D

Assuming this is a condensing boiler, check the sensor in the secondary heat exchanger isnt getting shorted by sludge or water not draining away ie condense trap is clear etc. Had a few where its like stagnant water or slime which sits on a ledge just under the fan discharge and upsets the...

Check the seals round combustion door for heat damage, they often fail and trip the chamber thermostat with the escaping gases , also try disconnecting and taping the condensate trap sensor ( white wire) which will lockout the burner at the slightest hint of damp or route to earth. Both common...

Yep you can test the flow switch..... Detach the plug in wiring to flow switch . If hot tap off there will be no continuity across blue and brown wires on switch side. If there is continuity when tap off the switch is faulty or sometimes loose in its clip and constantly firing up the boiler as...

yep pcb........ boilermates have at least 22mm all the way to boiler so circulation usually not a problem and pcbs on Suprimas .... nuff said. Done loads of them in this combination with nuisance lockouts , pcb change sorts it.

Is this the old version with the diverter in the bottom right front with the plate heat exchanger?? If so they have a diaphragm which is usually at fault in the diverter......... iff im mistaken which boiler it is try looking at the blending valve on top and check for output from hot and cold...

Thermisters awful on these junk piles too........ did one today with exactly this problem , thermister going open circuit as soon as boiler gets a glimmer of heat.

The internal switch on the hot water valve actuator could be faulty ie opening valve but not telling boiler to run until heating valve opens . Will heating run on its own?? You should get 240v on both grey and orange wires from the actuator when valve is open if only 240v on one when selecting...
