yep that sounds ok to me.. the problem with all this, and we have had some fun out of it as well, is that the tails were installed incorrectly so you have to ask what else is wrong that no one can see... :(

and you can polish it up so it shines :D we had to replace some pyro in a boiler house in Liverpool because the maintaince engineer polished it that much he wore the copper through to the powder and it got damp in :lol:

would be rather expensive :D and its pyrotenax .. used where the is risk of fire, etc virtualy indestuctable in normal use.. totalyl weather proof, solvent proof, gas proof, crush proof, the list is endless.. but not for a house unless you had a thing about it..

i used to love pyro... dont use these days, all that FP crap..

one thing to mention.. down here in cornwall we install the cables in the loft of a thatched cottages in conduit .. they attract a lot of mice..

when you buy a roof fan it will come with dimensions for an up stand which the fan will sit on, and the roofer can install his flashings.. if your using a roof fan that is :)
