    Keep it. I have a 23 years old Thorn Apollo which gives brilliant service.£35 on parts to date. A neighbour of mine renewed his 2 years ago for no better reason than it was over 20 years old. His old boiler is now in my garage loft as a source of spares...

    If it is a pressurised system check the pressure at the boiler. After all this bleeding it will probably need topping up. When you are bleeding it .do any of the pipes to the rad heat up

    oops;- just picked that up ( brand new house) Don't want tamperings to invalidate any warranty. Its up to you if you want to carry on. Or just replace everything and deny touching it :wink:

    Try closing one valve and open the bleeder. has it a good flow. If so reverse the operation ie open that valve and close the other and bleed again to check flow

    Ensure both valves on affected rad are open

    It will only take minutes and the rads will not cool down by the time you have completed the check. Then you can turn them back on. Go on give it a go
