E-on recently came out and fitted a mains isolator between my meter and my new board. There was a problem with one of the terminals on the outlet side of the meter -I think it was knackered and I noticed he has run one of the tails directly from the mains fuse to the isolator. Is this ok?

Your tank connectors are not under high pressure.they are under gravity pressure. Just use polywashers-take your fitting to the plumbers merchants if you're not sure of the size you want.

yes I have. And it says that NO pipe fitting should be concealed in a duct or inside a wall where maintenab=nce etc would be made difficult. Is your soldered fitting not a fitting then?
