(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

You've been really helpful and I appreciate it. The missus has her heart set on the Miele though! The only reason this current one seems to have gone wrong is because we were defrosting it so that if this is frost free maybe we'll be luckier. I'll strike a deal and let you know in 20 years...

You ARE not serious are you? I was thinking of: Miele 8462 Opinion?

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

I was beginning to think along those lines. The FF is only 2 years old but it sort of came with the house. Think I'll go for a Miele!

Worcester 24CDi Lockout Problem - help

That's fine, no problem. I guess it happens a lot - half a story. In this case, the full saga is that the house used to be mine, we had the occasional problem of overheat lockout so we reset it and it used to work. So intermittent as not to be a problem. At servicing time, later that year...

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

I'm convinced! One last thing - since the problem, whether the freezer is set to 1 or 5, the freezer temp drops off the scale (which goes to -35ish). Would the gas situation explain this? Who's best to regas, Whirlpool or A.N. Other?

Worcester 24CDi Lockout Problem - help

Softus - Bit tetchy no? The facts are as I've put them I'm afraid, nothing more sinister. The usual chap cannot help as he is so busy his answering machine message now at last call said "don't bother me for three months" or words to that effect. As the property is now rented I can't afford to...

Interesting. Repairable? Worth regassing or too expensive while out of warranty?

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

Hi Racket It's not the frost free type, it occasionally got wet on the interior back panel (not a plate as such) of the fridge compartment. There is also no fan in the fridge so nothing to go wrong there. Tried it again last night, the compressor works and it efficiently freezes the...

(UK) Whirlpool FF NOT cooling fridge - over-Freezing freezer

Hello, I have a four year old Whirlpool FF which was not used for the first 2 years. It worked fine (apart from gurgling a lot and forming a bit of an airloc in the fridge making it difficult to open soon after closing!) until just shortly after fully defrosting it a few weeks back, it...

Worcester 24CDi Lockout Problem - help

Hi - I've had the same problem with my 1999 Worcester for the past 2 years now on and off. During periods of quite high use (heating and water simultaneously) the boiler locks out and needs resetting. This is quite intermittent but can sometimes happen several times a day and is pretty...

worcester 24cbi lockout problems - help??

Yes. Yes, it would. As I say, he specializes in boilers but has not once suggested a flue issue or venturi (despite having three cracks at the whip), both of these seem to crop up on this site quite a few times. I could have just asked for a recommendation for York I suppose but I figured...

worcester 24cbi lockout problems - help??

Hi - I think I've had the same problem with my 1999 Worcester for the past 2 years now on and off. The guy (who claims to be a heating engineer specialist, not a "plumber") who does the landlords safety check hasn't in this time actually been able to resolve it though - despite replacing...
