    Stihl 021 chainsaw manual

Hope someone may be able to help. I have recently purchased a used Shihl 021 chainsaw which is a super little machine but I have no manual. I would like to know the basics such as fuel mixtures, maintenance etc. The Stihl USA website has an online manual for the ms210 which I thinks maybe the...

VW Transporter. Insurance and general owning.

We are looking to purchase a VW Transporter, maybe ex AA, to accomodate our family. Can anyone advise where is the best place go to get insurance as the quotes we have got so far seem a bit high ( over 500.00 fully comp )? It seems that we are now into van insurance and some companies don't seem...

    Finishing lining paper.

Does anyone know of a finish for lining paper to make it a bit more damage resistant? I have followed advice given on this site and used 1400 lining paper to cover up previously emulsioned walls that are flaking and pitted and it looks really good. However, this is ok in bedrooms but I need to...

    DIY dent repair kit

Can anyone recommend a decent dent repair kit? We have one or two on our Picasso that are fairly minor and have not broken the paint. Have been quoted silly money to get them fixed by mobile outfits, so I thought I might fork out a few quid and have a go myself. Have seen what looks quite a...

    citreon picasso

Jap cars tend to be more expensive because they are built better and don't break down. We had two Toyota Corollas before our Picasso and they only needed servicing and never gave any nasty surprises. Serves us right for getting a family and needing a bigger car. We may look at a VW transporter...

    citreon picasso

How on Earth can you get 67mpg on a 3hr journey? Was part of it on a recovery waggon? We've got a 2.0 hdi and there is always some niggling little fault apart from having renewed the cambelt, tensioner, water pump, radiator and exhaust in the space of three years. Not the best car we"ve ever...

    Citroen Picasso with whistling noise.

Thanks for the reply. The cambelt looks fine but I think there is a belt for the alternator buried under a cover so I will check this out and get back to you. It's a bit dark out there now! Sorry to be vague but haven't had it long enough to check it all out. Would a slipping belt stop slipping...

    Citroen Picasso with whistling noise.

We have just started hearing a whistling sound from the cambelt side of the engine. The sound is a little like a window open a fraction but it's from the engine and sounds like it is at the top of the belt near the p/s pump or alternator? The sound will only be heard when the engine is...

Thanks for that. Yes, it's melamine so I may just have to leave it and find a big picture to stick over it. :(

    scratched beech effect wardrobe

We have a beech effect laminated chipboard wardrobe with a large scratch down one side. Any suggestions for disguising it? The scratch is fairly deep and shows up as off white and is very obvious. Thanks in anticipation. :(

    Pitted concrete path

It is fairly bad with pitting all over in small areas. Really have no time to re lay it as it is quite long and we've got lots else to do. Can't raise the height because of adjoining path and driveway. It has to be a fairly quick solution or just leave it. :?

    Pitted concrete path

We have a badly laid concrete path in front of our house. It is sound and fairly new but doesn't look good as it has a fairly pitted surface in places where it hasn't been tamped down properly. We cannot lay anything on top as we cannot really raise the level. Any suggestions how we can make it...
