    Bath Waste Leaking

I fitted a Victoria Plumb bath with one of these pop up wastes the other day. If you use a Mcalpine bath trap you'll be fine. They are the best IMO. Just make sure when you put it all together that its seated correctly on the waste.

    Bath Waste Leaking

Dont put ptfe on the thread. You've probably overtightened it. It doesn't need to be rivven up. What make of trap did you use? If its a cheapy, throw it away and buy a Mcalpine one. Ensure its sitting square in the waste outlet and tighten up. The nut should wind on smoothly. HTH.

    Gully drain help please

100% agree with Hugh. If its clay / saltglaze then the outlet will be at the bottom of the pot to form a trap. If you havent got any drain gauntlets then put a couple of bin bags over your arm to have a feel around.

Hi i have an indesit wib 111 that will not drain. It is coming up with an led fault code. After a bit of searching i find this oko ball in the hose between the drum and pump. I cant find any blockages anywhere. Pump impellor is turning but drum stays full of water. Would it be detrimental to...

    Boiler breakdown Baxi courses

I dont know about Gastec mate. Have you considered going on dedicated manufacturers courses? You would gain experience on specific models rather than a generic overview.

    Boiler breakdown Baxi courses

If you are comfortable using a multimeter and understand components then you probably wouldnt gain much from it. The advanced course comes round evey so often but you have to do the basic courses to get on it.

Pressure relief valve question, unused cellar installation

Some boiler manufacturers have products to overcome this problem. It enables the PRV to be located elsewhere so it can discharge above ground. Im certain that Baxi do one. Not sure about Glow worm. The installer may be able to find out.

hot water pressure is like a dribble.....

Is the cold supply to the tap on mains? Some mixers need equal supply pressures to work correctly. Do you have the M.I 's? is it suitable for low (gravity) supply?

Heating is fine but hot water is not........

If its giving fault codes im guessing its a linea / syntesi? You ll have to drain the boiler and may need new o rings. Quite an involved job, especially on new years eve!!!
