    Hey Slick.. Just to keep you updated on that painting over varnish job i mentioned.. Finished it this week..gave ceilings a through abrading then used the Dulux supergrip as mentioned before....covered realy well... then gave it 2 coats of Acrylic eggshell .. looks good so far... will...

    I agree with Zampa on this..I tend to leave solvent based paint overnight in the ariring cupboard in the winter if im using it the next day. :wink:

    Yes its true, synthetic is better with emulsion but Purdy also make pure bristle brushes which will give you a much better finish for gloss. It is worth having a gander at the following site, they'v got a catalouge for you to browse through. http://www.purdycorp.com/catalog/brushes/

    I also like Purdy, but they are not to everyones taste, iv heard a certain person whose name i will withhold but begins with Z, describe them as 'like trying to cut in with a wet piece of cod'. :wink:
