    Wet Rooms

I have recently installed an AquaDec / TileSafe wetroom using a kit from impey. See http://www.impey-uk.com/aqua_dec/index.php Its more of a building job rather than plumbing, but a good diy'er should be able to manage this. The most difficult bit was making sure that the floor is absolutely...

    1970's building methods

I recently moved into a 1970's bungalow. All the internal walls are single brick or breezeblock. However when hitting things into the wall, picture hooks etc, I noticed they do shake rather worringly. Whilst replacing some bathroom floorboards I noticed that the sub floor is constructed from...

    Vailant boiler

Could be your expansion vessel needs pressurising. If there is insufficient pressure in it, there is nowhere for the hot water to expand. Pressure builds up and releases out of the overflow. wall hung wc leaks

The diameter of the wc spigot is fine at about 95mm. Its the protruding length at 25mm which I think is too short. I have considered using a silicone seal, but it shouldn't really be necessary.

    wall hung wc leaks

Just purchased a wall hung wc and frame. After fitting, there was a leak from the wc spigot end of the plastic pan connector. The problem as I see it is that the spigot has a usable length of just 25cm and I think that this far too short to make a good connection with the rubber seal of the...
