Hi-temperature stove paint and primer for fireplace

I have a cast iron fireplace. I've taken all the flakey paint off with paint stripper back to the bare metal. I want to paint it a black colour and I'd guess it would be best to spray it with hi-temperature stove paint in the unlikely event that it was ever used in the future. Should I use...

Length of screws for 15mm thick board on ceiling?

What length of plasterboard screw would you suggest to use to attach sheets of 15mm thick plasterboard to a ceiling? Boarding straight onto joists. Also, I noticed coarse thread is usually slightly more expensive for the same length. Perhaps coarse is better as gives a better grip? Thanks.

Telephone cabling to a telephone slave socket

I want to position a metal back box within a stud wall and then bring cabling up to the back box so that eventually a flush slave telephone socket can be attached to this back box after the wall has been boarded. I want to run telephone cabling within the stud wall up to this back box. I'm not...

    19mm/20mm Electrical trunking in grey

I might actually opt for metal conduit, has a better look to it. The CEF one states it is pre galvanised. Presumably this means there is some chance it will rust due to air moisture. https://www.cef.co.uk/catalogue/products/1360368-20mm-pre-galvanised-steel-conduit-3m-length...

Flat plate socket with outside rockers?

The Legrand appears to thave only one rocker on the outside, so wouldn't be suitable.

Flat plate socket with outside rockers?

Are there any 2-gang electrical sockets on the market which adhere to the following (I couldn't locate any): a) Flat plate - preferably white, but potentially any finish b) outside rockers c) NO USB outlet Or alternatively 1-gang electrical sockets which are: a) Flat plate - preferably white...

Minimum distance between two 2-gang sockets?

I wouldn't need the extra section to the right - not sure if that's for USB outlets.

Minimum distance between two 2-gang sockets?

I wonder what the spacing between the two faceplates would be using this. It looks like it might be approx 40 mm. These boxes are 50mm deep. Is it okay to use 25mm deep metal ko boxes if the switches fit in them. I've bought 25mm boxes.

Minimum distance between two 2-gang sockets?

If locating two 2-gang electrical sockets on a stud wall (one above the other), is there any requirement which means that a minimum distance should be maintained them? Or can the two faceplates be located tight up to each other? Thanks.

Water pipes going to attic via hot press

Thanks guys for the feedback - much appreciated. Pipes relating to the central heating were put in ~35 years ago and the water tank pipes ~70 years ago, so perhaps they may have been standard at the time.

Water pipes going to attic via hot press

A relative of mine has an attic-located water tank and smaller tank for central heating and a bathroom-located immersion tank. There is no shower head. There is an oil boiler for water heating - not a combi boiler. I noticed there are a total of 6 copper pipes within the bathroom hot press...

Laying pf100 / wf100 cable from aerial through rooms

If pf100 or wf100 cable is connected to a chimney-mounted TV aerial, then ran down the roof and into bedroom 1 where it's connected to a wall-set aerial socket outlet. In order to provide a TV socket outlet in a second bedroom and also to the ground floor front/back rooms, is it just a matter...
