The EHO has asked us to check out the boiler and our hearing and then get back to him which is what we are now doing. Plumber not turned up yet though! Hearing appt awaited as is reply from water company regarding any repairs in area. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Hi - the EHO said that he could not hear it himself but he did attend during the day and it is less audible with noise from outside. Thanks for your suggestion I will contact him to see if he can refer us to anyone as it is now getting out of control. Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply - it is very difficult to ignore as it is now causing both of us to lose sleep as the noise is constant obviously it is more audible at night when the house is quiet. We will keep trying to find the noise, the next step is to get a heating engineer out to check the boiler...
