    I am in the process of redecorating new house - doing the first room and it seems the central heating is a one pipe system...should I leave it alone or upgrade to two pipe system. Obviously two pipe is prefeable but it must be a massive job, right? Croz

    Need to drill a hole in joist near to wall - is this OK?

    Hi, I am fitting a new radiator and need to drill two small holes in the floor joists for 15mm pipe. However I was planning on drilling these in parallel about 30 cm from the wall, which I now read is probably against building regs - any ideas apart form re-routing the plumbing? Croz
