Ive isolated heat exchanger .it has a valve just before exchanger on water inlet . Had heating on for 2 hours and its steady at 1.2 bar .I think its heat exchanger ! live and learn . Thanks for all the replies

I replaced cont box then it went to purge mode. so cont box was def faulty.(my old one did nothing) i then disconnected my original pc and it fired then locked out indicating bad pc. went and got a,new one but bought digital one by mistake. have analogue one coming tomorrow from amazon...

there are 2 photo cells the old one is anologue. it goes with rdb cont box with red reset button (mine) the later box uses a digital pc . looks identical but doesnt work with older box. the new box has a clear reset button .

well kind of making progress! fitted new box . just purges constantly no spark or flame . pulled photo cell . fires then cuts out . so looks like maybe the old control box took out the photo cell maybe ? . anyway went and collected a photocell from local shop looks the same but fires then...

replaced cap. still dead! waiting for new control box to arrive

Hi it doesnt even attempt to fire its totally dead . is it still valid to to the photo cell test .

correction! just realised my fluke meter has a capacitance setting! its reading 2.7uf. it should be 4.5. would that cause motor to not run ?

thanks again. ive checked cap with my digital meter. not as good as using a needle type .but seems to be checking out ok .

Hi just checked diagram limit stat and safety thermostat are both in live line to box .i have 240v at box so no its not that. Cheers
