    Welded toilet waste?

I did cut the old 'through roof' vent pipe down and the AAV fitted well enough. I'm guessing that means that new and old are compatible?

    Welded toilet waste?

Thanks! What if I make a clean cut at a point close to the wall and replace the rest with new? Can new soil pipe components be joined to old, or is there a size difference?

    push fit soil pipe

Any words of wisdom for me as I embark on the same journey Squarepeg?

    Welded toilet waste?

Or I might actually get a plumber in! Stranger things have happened!

    Welded toilet waste?

Thanks Stevie888. I think you're right. The bulges indicate that there's a ring seal. Thing is, I twisted with real force and the pipe was creaking as if it would crack! I'll try again...

    Shower tray with run-off profile?

I've installed shower trays in the past and water just sits on the flat edge where the enclosure meets the tray. Can anyone recommend an offset quadrant tray that actually sheds water from the top down? My enclosure is 900x800. Thank you!

    Crack in wall

As per Opps. Try the Soudal 'genius gun'! Mask up each side and squirt that stuff right into the crack! When the foam has hardened, you can cut it back enough to give you a 5mm fill with a decent sandable filler. You've got this!

    Welded toilet waste?

Here we go again! So... I need to reconfigure the pipework for our new bathroom, but rather than being push-fit, this 110mm(?) black pipe (fitted in 1966 ⚽) appears to be glued! It just won't budge! Any advice would be very welcome!

Thompson's Water Seal on roof to prevent moss?

Although, copper nails can [apparently] be used to kill the dreaded leylandi!

Thompson's Water Seal on roof to prevent moss?

Interestingly, I used an old copper pipe offcut to support a plant in my garden. That plant seems strong and healthy.

Thompson's Water Seal on roof to prevent moss?

Ah, I'd assumed that 'Copper Ridge' was a liquid chemical product. I don't think actual copper components fitted to a roof would pose any danger!?

Thompson's Water Seal on roof to prevent moss?

Duly noted. On the subject of the environment, does anyone else find the hypocrisy of this government absolutely galling? They build housing estates on our green fields and then tell us not to cut our lawns for three months to 'save the butterflies'!

Thompson's Water Seal on roof to prevent moss?

Lol. Guess so! Maybe he got confused and used a can of super glue?

Thompson's Water Seal on roof to prevent moss?

Well, I've been checking this thread every day for a decade! We're dying to know how you got on with the Thompson's Water Seal roof tile experiment! Please tell!!

No More Ply 6mm with PB adhesive?

Okay, so it turns out that PB adhesive works fine with 6mm No More Ply on rendered brick walls. I supported the boards with a single screw for 24 hours. Note that you don't get the same 'grab' that you get when sticking plasterboard because NMP resists water absorption. Thanks for your...

    Fix metal shed kit

I bought a metal shed once. I followed the instructions to the letter, but it rusted and looked terrible within 2 years. Also, the edges were sharp and the slightest knock caused the thin steel to dent... like a Renault. Composite Keter sheds look pretty good. Anyone had one of those for a few...

No More Ply 6mm with PB adhesive?

As there will be no tiles attached to the NMP, I'm going to try a single panel with PB adhesive. If it doesn't go off and hold firm I'll switch to tile adhesive. I'll post the results. Thanks all!
