pressure is lost 3 main ways.through the pressure release valve to outside. by leaks through pipe/fittings or leaking rad valves or due to gassing in the system.the thing i would try is isolate the towel rails where the gas collects to confirm or rule out them being the cause.also try some leak...

the brown wire on the valve would be connected to one of the wires from the cylinder thermostat (if hw valve)

the live for the pump will be supplied by the boiler on most condensing boilers.you just connect the wires from the boiler to the 10 way box and join the pump to them there.or if the pump is next to the boiler run the wire from the pump to the boiler connections.

does anything in particular happen before the light comes on.does it happen more at particular times or during hw or heating use?

with regards to the valves,do you have 2 fot the heating and one for hw? check to se if the flow to the cylinder goes through 2 valves.

check the honeywell site or danfoss or drayton for a s plan wiring diagram. 2 port valves (22mm) are mostly 5 wire. brown (power from timer or stat), blue (neutral), earth ,orange (switched live out) and grey (permanent live).

you only normally get air drawn into an open vent system when the pump is on the return.the pump causes the pressure in the system to drop below atmospheric pressure and a loose joint can suck air in.with a pressurised system this shouldnt happen.combi boilers have the pump on the return. when...

are you just venting one radiator.the air in the system is produced by electrolosis in the system.the gas forms and gas can be compressed where water cannot,therefore the pressure drops.if its just one rad try turning it off at both ends and see what happens.
