    Condensate trap location for ducting

Had 2 roof vents but unfortunately they have been fitted quiet low. Do I still need a condensate trap? The only location I can think of putting it is marked pink on the photo. Unfortunately it's an awkward angle going vertical slightly but most of it is a horizontal run.

    Roof vent pipe 110mm

I can't find anything to connect it with. All other elbows, pipe etc are 100mm and they fit loosely there's a 5-10mm gap

    Roof vent pipe 110mm

Had a roof vent tile fitted and the attached pipe is 110mm and not 100mm. Is a 100mm available anywhere or it a job of using toilet pan connector as a reducer?

    Extension lead cable size

Interesting comments. Has anyone created their own domestic use one bearing in mind plugs might not accept 2.5mm?

    Extension lead cable size

Just curiosity really, extension cables are known for causing fires due to being overloaded especially the 4 or 6 socket ones. What's the cable size in them 1mm? If it's down partially to cable size why aren't they made with 2.5mm cable (yes it will be pricey but safer).

    Electric Shower Recommendation

As someone stated speak to a plumber. Better still, get a water pressure test. My money is still on a leak. There might be a leak in a shared / mains / incoming supply even on the street. It doesn't have to be big leak but clearly it's enough affecting minimum pressure. Or you might want to have...

    Electric Shower Recommendation

You say 2 storey townhouse, do you mean 3 storey?? A 2 storey property shouldn't have issues for water pressure on the first floor. If you are confident and competent enough, you can always buy a new electric shower try it. If problem persists then it's definitely water pressure issue.

    Electric Shower Recommendation

Are you sure there's no leaks in the incoming water supply to the property? Years ago had this issue, swapped shower and same issue. The problem was a lead incoming pipe that had a small leak and the pressure dropped by the time it got to the shower in first floor. Remember it doesn't have to...

    Prolonging bathroom furniture life

Small extractor fans are nothing but toys in my opinion. Opt for an inline fan if possible. I'm going to fit two soon.

    Prolonging bathroom furniture life

Humidity has done its job. How long you had it? IKEA isn't the best. If you're handy you could get some treated material in the future and make some furniture yourself? Make sure you got a decent working extractor fan. Most cheap ones no good after few years especially if they not been cleaned.

Sound / vibration proofing for extractor fan

The reason I asked for make was because he stated he hung it from rafters so I was wondering whether the make and model he used had a hook that allowed him to hang it on the rafters How much gap would you deem sufficient under the door?

Thank you. Any recommended high street retailers? Seems to be an online thing only. I prefer high street as if there are any issues you can get a replacement without hassle of sending back etc

Vaillant ecotec plus 438 no heating or hot water

Firstly the thread was created last Nov, it's 10 months old not number of years. If you can't get such basics correct what advice will you offer? You don't seem to grasp the fact that for a number of months of the year everything works fine without any issue. Components are designed to work...

Vaillant ecotec plus 438 no heating or hot water

It's only worth checking the readings if there is a fault with one or more components, again this fault would be all year round not just during colder months Sometimes I do wonder whether some members on this forum just get a kick out of trying to waste peoples time...
