    Dripping, leaking shower - Triton

Hi, the joint is under the tiles, so not exactly accessible. They're only plain white tiles, though, so wouldn't mind breaking them to access it if something did go wrong. So far, though, all's good and the flexi is strong. As I say, there is no washer at the moment. Thanks for all your...

Thank you. There's no seal in there at the moment. Filter is really clean.

    Dripping, leaking shower - Triton

It is indeed. Is that bad?! In terms of the washer, do I need a rubber one, or fibre?

    Dripping, leaking shower - Triton

Many thanks for your reply. It's pretty well nipped up already, so I guess I need to try a new seal. Any idea what type I need? Would it be one of those rubber washers?

    Dripping, leaking shower - Triton

Hi folks, I have a dripping shower - a Triton Opal II. It's been installed two or three years and has been fine all this time, until a few days ago. I had to drain my water system so that I could fix a couple of leaks in the kitchen. It was after the system was refilled that my shower...

Casement window stay and fastener - which first?

Hi there, I'm restoring an old wooden window and have a new stay and fastener. My question is: which do I fit first - or doesn't it matter? Many thanks!

    15mm to 22mm connector

Bless ya, Do it All. I appreciate your help. Is it a compression fitting at the other end though? I'd prefer that to the rubber type.

    15mm to 22mm connector

Thanks everyone! Don't worry - my dad will be fitting it while I make the tea! I just need to get the parts. Is this the right one? There are so many on that site! http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?cId=101316&ts=06843&id=52117

    15mm to 22mm connector

Hi, I've just bought some new bath taps but am having a problem fitting them (the taps are shorter than the old ones and won't reach the connections to the pipes). What I'm after is a couple of those flexible, braided hoses. Thing is, the tap's thread is the usual 22mm but the pipes are...

    Bathroom light wiring problem

Erm, not sure if it is or not! It's just a bog standard pull switch! So am I right in thinking that the two reds go to the live connector and the incoming neutral goes to the neutral connector? This then leaves the black cable to the switch... Where does that go?! It can't (presumably) go in...

    Bathroom light wiring problem

Hi, many thanks for the answer. V helpful. One thing though - in the second diagram, you have the brown wire of the lamp connected to the centre section of the connection block. On my light fitting, this is marked for earth. Soooo, I presume I don't connect live to earth?! PS No loud bang!

    Bathroom light wiring problem

Hello, Yesterday, I tried to wire up a new bathroom light. There were two cables coming from the ceiling, each containing live, neutral and earth wires. On the light unit, there were only three connections - so I put both live wires into the live one, both neutral into the neutral one...
