    Your cheapest option might be to get your local "sympathetic" roofer to "torch on" some 4mm green mineral for you, it won’t look as nice but it will be dry and will work at that pitch.

    You would need scaffolding and a handmade wooden crawler made from tile batten fixed to the scaffold boards would be the most forgiving. The question you want to ask the roofer is if he can source some second hand slate to match the original for any breakages.
