ICE told to get the eff out

My God the level of naivety being shown by the usual suspects is absolutely astonishing, suggest you look beyond your Daily Mail and BBC news sources and get a grip with what's really happening in parts of the US now.

    Wall knock down

Assuming its to be plasterboard on the other side too, probably about 2 days, maybe a day and a bit to remove and stud it out and board it up, the next day to come back and skim it. I'd assume something like £600-£1000 depending on whom you employ including disposal of rubbish. Though you might...

Car reg after a private plate?

My current car had a private plate on before I bought it and it reverted to the original whilst at the dealers before I bought it, it did take about a year or something for it to start showing up properly on websites when you search for car parts etc. I've never taken the number plates off to...

    Slope/bulkhead question

If you want to make the clear height less then go ahead nobody can stop you. The Building Regs that apply are the ones that existed at the time your house was built. I don't think there were any regarding stairs at the time. But is it sensible.

    Roofing dust in loft

Just wear a decent mask when you're sweeping/hoovering up, which would be wise in anycase. In reality the dangers posed by asbestos in houses to occupants is tiny, generally people who suffer from asbestosis have worked in a related industry and have been breathing it for years.

    Slope/bulkhead question

You ought to maintain a height above the risers of 2m, irrespective of Building Regs, it's just common sense and safe.

    Firefox, slowing down.

Surely if you make a Firefox account, it will retain all of your bookmarks etc? That said I would also be reluctant to do a reinstall, I would probably hang in there and wait for Firefox to be updated (which seems to happen every week or so) when the problem will probably be fixed.
