Long story :) After shearing off a rad valve top a few days ago, I've replaced the valve this morning. Naturally, I took the radiator off the wall to do so. Valve replacement went smoothly, repressurised the system, bled all the rads one at a time, until I came to this one, that I'd taken off...

Any ideas on what type of valve this is, or, more importantly, how to get it working? Looks just like a nipple but appears to have some sort of locking ring behind it...I've tried tapping it but to no avail...
