hi glasgowgas thanks for your post Come the weekend i will try slackening the ntc off see if any air comes out, pump is definatley running all my rads get warm within say 5 - 10 mins, I presume the AAV is working i can hear the air been expelled when topping system back up..........your post...

hello anyone who is watching this thread heating has been on this afternoon on the lowest temp setting and i did notice the pump was rather hot in fact so hot i couldnt keep my hand on it does anyone think the pump might be faltering and that this could be my problem.......thinking of taking...

morning bellairaphon i have found a place in leeds who have the ntc's - £8.00 a piece im gonna pick em up and give it a go........as far as changing them i have a manual and it seems straight forward enough...isolate flow and return under boiler drain off water through safety valve...

Kev going back to that diverter valve thing the boiler is not a SE so could it be that ? when a check hoses and change ntc's i will inspect that, will post my results tomorrow. regards alan

hi bellairaphon thanks for the input i will change both the ntc tomorrow and see if that fixes it.i will also check the hoses for any blockages. can you tell me what the eventual outcome was on the "bad Boy" you encountered. Thanks for your input too kev any other thoughts regards Alan

Hi BingoBongo Yes the pump is running, as i mentioned earlier in the post all the radiators are working all be at a lowerer temp cos of the setting at the boiler at the moment....thanks for your input any other ideas spring to mind cheers Alan

Hi Yes both the valves are fully open, im not sure what you mean by diverter, i have looked on the manual and i can see item 7 a by-pass valve could this be it ?(see Pic) if so how do i check its operation ? with the boiler running in heating mode with the temp dial at its lowest i do get...

Hi All Some help would really be appreciated, The Boiler is approx 4 - 5 years old When the boiler is working for heating it starts making a noise like a boiling kettle after say five minutes of use, if i leave it like this the boiler turns itself off for a while then fires back up it...
