Thanks for your help guys. All back up and running again now. I blocked the mixer tap on the bath for about 5 mins to force the cold water up around the hot system, could hear glugging etc from the boiler and then when I unblocked the tap after about 20 seconds, It came through hot :D

Just to add... The central heating is working fine.
