There’s an option in the enginner menu which will display the wifi signal strength, not worked on enough of them to know where it is hidden yet, but I thought it was in the app set up menu. You need a new Pyronix wifi mod which comes with a plug on extension aerial.

What’s the signal strength on the wifi module? (Go into enginner mode, think its in app set-up) should be above 12 ideally. There is two Wi-Fi modules one with onboard antenna and the other has a plug on type with a seperate aerial which can be fitted outside the panel box.

The most likely cause is as mentioned before is a third party Wireless device on the same radio frequency (868mhz) transmitting a low battery message or similar. This could be from a neighbouring property’s wireless thermostat, streetlight, Door bell or another wireless alarm.

The previous Texecom app was rubbish, the ‘connect’ one is a massive improvement. It connects everytime without fail & all notifications are spot on, it’s not without a few minor bugs but considering it’s a free monitoring platform, I don’t think it’s too bad at all.

Get some flex and a plug & plug it in to a wall socket. If it trips your ring main then it’s the panel. If not it’s a wiring fault on the spur or consumer unit.
