    Uneven concrete floor

Hi, Lancashire, well, Greater Manchester actually. The room is about 24 m2 so the materials are within what I can afford. Might see what a flooring specialist might charge to do the work and what options they may give. Cheers Simon

    Uneven concrete floor

Hi, Yes it would be carpet on a good underlay and plan to be there for a good 10 years min. The floor is in fairly good condition, on the whole it is reasonably level with just a few 'nodules' . Most of those marks could just be efflorescence and they seem to lift when scrubbed/washed...

    Uneven concrete floor

Hi Dazlight, This is how a patch of the floor looks after cleaning it up a bit. I've now pulled all the carpet up so here are the images of the whole room. I've just looked outside at the walls where the two excavations run to. There are air bricks on the outside walls...

    Plastering advice please

Hi 1john, Thanks for the reply. No it's not wood, it's plasterboard. I found that out when I tried scraping the mold off a little too aggressively and found pinkish material under the paper. Simon

    Plastering advice please

Hi, House is a semi-detached mid 1950's build. I have a just been stripping the woodchip wallpaper (and 40 years of paint) off the walls and ceiling of the third bedroom. As I took the paper off the ceiling down came a layer of plaster with it. It looks like a skim layer as there is...
