A standard pilot bit. I use rothenberger long reach pz2 but Halfords pz2 is a nice driver too. Get one you can use in conjunction with a set of grips. I get my bits from work, so just ordinary pz2 bits and a long extension bit holder.

Same- it has been the last thing I have tackled and the one thing I kept putting off and calling in plumbers. I bought myself a rothenberger superfire 2 and have been using yorkshire fittings, and the whole experience has been quite liberating it has to be said.

I've got one but I am trying to bend some pipe in a small space and the one I have is to big. I actually also bought a Rothenberger ratchet one only to be told afterwards that it's not designed for hard copper pipe just multi layer pipe and soft refrigeration copper.

We use a Rothenberger at work with Yellow Map gas. Bought the same kit for home (Torch + 2 cylinders in a case) , I would say it's a bargain for what you get!.

You need a better torch head. Mine always did this. Bought a rothenberger and yellow map gas canister... would never go back... Expensive though.
