    Renew existing lead flat roof?

...is what the lead is dressed over and can be removed once the lead is removed, at that point if you wish you can add celotex insulation and the ply over the top and then go with alan 333 suggestion. And with such a small area to do you could do that with a hand held rothenburger being a plumber.

    Which blow torch

I needed to get a new gas torch and was all set to buy a Rothenburger - the dealer never had one in stock so (reluctantly at the time) I bought the Monument torch. Have to say I'm glad I did as it's been faultless so far and quite a bit cheaper - too early to say about longevity yet as it's...

    Soldering

...water supply and test for leaks. The other thing is don't attempt to solder any pipes with water in. Flux is a matter of opinion but I use Powerflow flux or Everflux. It needs to be an active flux. Solder needs to be lead-free A good blow torch make is rothenburger used with MAP gas

Pipe Bending and minimum fall on a 4inch toilet waste pipe

Hilmor would be my first choice, as I like the shape of the handle, otherwise Record or Rothenburg. Do a google and see what offers you can find.

copper pipes in wall 90 degree bend sticks out too far

...enough shoulder to solder a joint on the pipe will stick out some 50mm from the wall. I could stick a 90 degree elbow on the end but thats what I want to avoid. Any neat solutions? I'm using a rothenburger multi bender and following the instructions so I presume the shoulder is normal?

Primus 2000 burner to Rothenberg disposable cylinder

SGM. That is the reverse. It takes a Rothenburger burner onto a Primus (Sievert) 2000 bottle. But getting there I suppose. I want to take a Sievert burner onto a disposable gas cylinder. I have one of these with red knobs, which fits onto a Primus (Sievert) 2000 bottle: I need it to...

Is there a blowlamp as good as the Ronson Variflame?

After the Ronson canisters ran out, I bought a Rothenburger, which was touted as the Ronson replacement at that time. No small nozzle, wouldn't idle, flaring, I think it went in the bin. That was a good while ago, are they better now? V8

How to unblock 10mm flow pipes?

I have solved this sort of problem with my Rothenburger Test Bucket. Pressure water against the block and released. I have only tried this in an open vented system, not a sealed one.

    Reusing Hep2o fittings

...elbow I've not used, put a bit of copper into it, screwed it together. Yes, can still rotate. Why have i wasted all this time on a top Rothenburger Torch and flux and wire wool and learning to solder? Once you take the fitting apart though there doesn't seem to be any way to get that green...

best option for fitting tee on this pipe?!

...torch have you got ? dcawkwell is dead right - I found that to my cost  once - But having said that , most plumbers now have a Rothenburger size lamp anyway. I would say a Yorkshire fitting with a touch of solder added . heat the fitting and the pipe keeping the flame moving - and...

...seen a makita at around £240+ (dedicated diamond core drill but would prefer an all rounder if I can get away with it?) and a set of rothenburger bits at around £100+ (any better buys out there) also can anyone tell me why dimond core drills are that much more expensive where the extra...

    soldering - butane or propane

I am having serious doubts about the quality of my plumbing joints in my present DIY pipework with end feed joints. The solder is not flowing evenly round the joint and appears to be "charred" in places.. Copper is clean and fluxed. I can only think it is because I am using butane in the...

...my usual method but wanted to cut out the time as we have loads of poles to trim. Ashamed to say the answer was right under my nose, Rothenburger in Kettering are on the same trading estate as us, they do one which will manage the size of poles  gonna give one of them a try then...
