    Electric cables in the wall.

If the cables are in safe zones and they are protected by an RCD then all is well generally. If you did need mechanical protection, that means industrial conduit, not diy stuff. Basically something you wouldn't be able to drive a nail through.

    Works for me.

Adding a flow switch to an electric pump...

This pump comes with a flex and a plug. Is BS7671 even relevant? Much like they don't apply to my missus' food mixer, which has a motor bigger than 0.37kW.

    Cable leaving house to underground.

? If we are talking about BS7671, then they are regulations, not recommendations, not laws. Compliance with BS7671 is evidence of compliance with the applicable statute law, PUWER, EAWR and the like.

    Cable leaving house to underground.

Legal? There are no laws defining or requiring any of the above.

    Cable leaving house to underground.

And the point of all this was what? An actual installation in your house? Or purely hypothetical?

    3 Phase motor running slow

Is it running slow without any load? Does it drive through a gearbox? Is any gearbox and bearings in working condition? If you've swapped the motor and it's still running slow, then as above, what's supplying it? Phase converter, VSD? VSD will have lost its settings after 5 years off.

    LED to monitor motor

I'm assuming you mean that my guesses are rarely wrong, rather than, for once, an OP has returned....:)

Help - fuse board no trip switch

OP - Make sure you prove that the pull cord connections are dead if you just pull the lighting fuses. Dont just assume that the circuits are dead just because you have pulled the labelled fuses, who knows what has been wired to what.

    As do I.

    Cable without colours

CEGB standard is for all numbering to read away from the terminal, regardless of what that does to orientation, or your neck. That's an old standard of course.

    Cable without colours

Caution. You have just entered a minefield.

    Can this CU be modernised?

50 complete cycles per second, passing through zero 100 times per second

Panel building, was Terminating 1mm T&E

Hardly a typical example though. Generally I would expect to see back to back lugs for different wire sizes.
