On the basis of this statement, get an electrician.

    Replacing Electric hob

Not sure how you get to three phase supply.

As a client, what is the appropriate course of action?

Why not, the job hasn't been done properly.

As a client, what is the appropriate course of action?

I wouldn't call patching up oversized downlighter holes 'making good'. Nor would I be paying for any part of the downlighter works until it was completed satisfactorily. I'm sure this electrician knows he or she has made a b******* of it, not out of lack of skill or deliberate action. Just ask...

230 volt 5 amp relay in box what options.

I guess it all depends on the size of control systems you work on. Big installations, big MCC panels, you will have hundreds of drawing sheets. That's where using the sheet number method is best used.

230 volt 5 amp relay in box what options.

I like wire numbers based on drawing sheet number, which is typically used on European, by which I mean German, panels. Easy to find the drawing sheet you want.

230 volt 5 amp relay in box what options.

Would have looked better if the wire links went up into the trunking and back down again, but nothing wrong with linking using double ferrules. Wire colours are a bit random and aren't numbered. Neither are all the devices. Can't see the earth connected to the backplate.

    New oven and hob

What's the combined kW rating of both items? Very likely that both will be perfectly fine connected to your existing 32A supply.

    Shocking quote

How is the cable run, can the electrician inspect the complete run?

    Sealing air leaks around sockets/switches

That's a rubbish analogy. The pressure differential is the thing causing the balloon to rapidly deflate. Unrelated to any heat loss through socket backboxes.

    Removal of 13A sockets

Not sure I would bother with a nail protection plate under a glass decor panel.

Working out the overload on this motor fan unit?

Set it to motor FLC, job done.

2.9kW Oven on 32A radial - not properly protected?

A motor can be overloaded, and therefore draw more than its rated current by being mechanically overloaded. That's what a thermal overload protects against. Nothing to do with separation of conductors. Conductors in contact are short circuiting, which is a different type of fault.

    Power cable to shed

And the type of cable, and the method of installation etc etc, which you know, but our OP doesn't.

    Power cable to shed

You thought wrong, and here's me thinking that you were never getting an electrician in the first place.
