Had a prang, who's to blame?

It is not an offense to undertake, in the sense of, if you are on a motorway and the traffic in the righthand lane is moving slowly or coming to a stop and your lane is not. This could be because the people in front of yo are turning off of the motorway at the slip road. You dont just stop and...

    Shed base help

We had to refit the felt to our shed roof at the begginning of this summer and simply nailed the felt to the roof. My shed has an apex roof and we overlapped the flept so that no water could get under it.

    Metal Shed base

If once you have completely sealed the roof there is still moisture, I would add some ventilation to the shed. Probably the best way of doing this would be to drill some fairly large holes on at least two opposite walls near the top of the shed and fix a cover over them to stop the rain from...

how to lift Aco drain grill

If it's a plastic drain cover go a little easy as you don't want to snap it when you try to lift it off. I would advise getting in touch wit ACO if your not sure about it. They should be able to tell you exactly how to remove the grill.

    Boat alarm advice please.

I know of someone who has fitted a wireless system on their boat and have had no problems with "conflicting frequencies". There are systems out there which will trigger the sirens and also ring your phone so that you are notified immediately should the alarm get activated which may be a good...

    cctv sign.

I'd personally fit a sign or two just to advertise the fact that your property is secured. It will deter potential burglars.

    I'm being mean!

For the cost involved, I'd get new ones. This way you know they will work correctly and may even save you a potential fine.

Cutting aluminium venetian blind and slats

I fitted some metalic venitian blinds blands many years ago. I trimmed each slat with a pair of scissors and beveled the edges. It can take a long time though. My blinds are made of thin metal. This won't work for thicker blinds or wood blinds however

Laying turf on a sloping garden

Looking the picture, the soil looks pretty loose so I'd probably make a day of it by raking it really well and picking out any shards of glass and metal I can find along the way.

Laying turf on a sloping garden

I'm no gardiner, but I'd take up the old turf, then if its a smalish garden get busy with the rake to smoth it out a bit before relaying good quality lawn. If its is a large garden, then it may be worth finding out if you csan hire a michine to smooth out the bumps. I think I heard/read...

    ford ka drive belt

Quite possibly. I know its extremely hard to change the headlight bulb on the KA so I would imagine that it would be easier to remove the headlight.

    A self steering Corsa!

I know you said the steering and tracking has been checked, but its worth checking the castor. This is something that can make the car pull to the left or right. Get this checked first as it will be very cheap to check.

    cctv /boundries

The others ar corret. Their camera should only view what is their property. As far as I am aware, they aren't even allowed to film the street infront of their property.

    Locking Wheel Nuts

If you already have them on, leave them on. If you are worried that the wheel nuts will be on too tight if you ever get a puncture then i would recommend you undo all the wheel nuts with your home-made breaker bar at home and then tighten them up again using the correct wheel brace. And next...

    New (Used) car purchase

Nissans are renowned for their reliability. My parents have a 1998 primera, and it just seems to go and go without any servicing. Fords are also a pretty reliable car. they never used to be (There used to be a saying abouts FORD - Fix Or Repair Daily) but they have changed for the better...

Car Insurance for 17 Year Old Newbie

Certainly shop around. That is the best way to get the cheapest quote. Also, it is worth bearing in mind that the insurance companies are craking down on parents being the main driver when in reality the son or daughter is. It may effect/void the insurance if you have to make a claim so it may...
