ooookaaaay....then what does mean the valve is open?? Both the taps only turn so far before they tighten up again! :?

Thanks Dave - I have had the other tap open each time too, but no matter what I do nothing is changing :(

Must be doing something wrong......if I just turn the tap - nothing. If I also loosen the wing-nut beneath the tap I just get a soaking, but still no change on the gauge :(

Yup - I do indeed have the silver braided hose - and 2 taps. Will give it a go - tho I was turning the cold one earlier and to know avail..... Will see what happens! :)
