    Hi All, I noticed a burning smell coming from the power module in our caravan, when I've stripped it down, I've found that the neutral cable has started to melt / burn just as it connects to the RCD. The bottom of the RCD is also damaged. Firstly, what would cause this to happen...

    After loads of messing around and bleeding of rads, I decided to turn the pump around.......................and hey presto, problem solved!!! Was almost certain that it was the correct way around in the first place, but there you go........

    Well truning all the hot rads off didnt make any difference....the ones downstairs are still cold. Could this be just loads of air stuck in the system since it has been drained?

    An update on my situation......................... I switched the heating on and opened up the drain valve on the rad down stairs. Eventually hot water started to come from the drain valve, so i left it draining for a while........hoping that any air would be moved out of the system and...

    Hi Chris........... I am quite sure the pump is in the right way round..... I can bleed water out of all of the radiators...... When the water is being sent round the pump, it does seem a bit noisy, as if its full of air...if that makes sense

    The pump is in vertical..... The pump was running when i took the screw off the front, and some water came out of there as well, but it was just a dribble.

    So I did that bit right then! So i have turned the heating on full, without the water on........still no heat from any of the radiators. What now?????
