New Li-ion Battery Charger - 3 contacts on battery?

I was gonna do that. My only concern was the quality/saftey of the circuit inside.

New Li-ion Battery Charger - 3 contacts on battery?

No offense taken! My knowledge is more electrical wiring than circuit components. Thanks for the advice, I am aware of the potential consequences hence asking for opinions, it seems this is more complex than I imagined so I'll stick with the existing charger, and just keep an eye on it!

New Li-ion Battery Charger - 3 contacts on battery?

I'm looking into building a charging circuit for the following battery: The reason is I don't trust the charger it comes with not to burst into flames (its a cheap import with US plug on & single insulation cable). Still at the idea phase, found this PCB...

    Dodgy Ebay electrics again

Cables like these are the norm when buying things like psu, cctv stuff and computer products from ebay & amazon. Just search and you'll find loads... (I actualy recived one like the below with a product from Maplin) Worrying to think how many must be out there in use right now. This...

    Switch Fuse

Less susceptible to nuisance activation. Arguable more reliable.

Adding RCD to a ring final.

I see no problem with it, except the possibly of a fault outside tripping your inside sockets. Not massively likely but if you have a fridge/freezer on that circuit it could be a problem.

    Electic oven burnt plug.

You didn't have the washer, dryer and cooker plugged into the same extension cable did you? A loose connection in the plug was most likely the cause. That and it could have been drawing nearly 15A through a 13A plug. As above it really needs to be on it's own 16/20A radial.

    help needed

Aside from the other issues, don't get one of the cheap non-branded ones off ebay, their a load of rubbish and prone to failing to operate correctly.

    Question about Loft socket

There also appears to be some damage too at least two of the cables under the black fuse unit. Possibly rodent caused.

    extending phone, camera power supply

Yes but I was just trying to explain briefly without going into lower voltage/higher current technicalities. It can be a problem extending 5V PSU cables because of the increased current and the fact the cable size is often very small resulting in high resistance.

adding external extension from electric access

What is the junction box supplying?

    extending phone, camera power supply

Fine from a safety aspect (as long as transformer is inside and the joints suitable made and protected). However you may find a problem extending a 5V supply as the voltage drops very quickly over the cable. You might be ok for 4m, but I would check before installing. I needed to do a...

socket in garage has failed .....

What rating is the MCB that's protecting that socket/summer house? There is a slight chance that the RCD/FCU was being used to fuse down the circuit it was protecting.

    Dodgy shed wiring?

Just stumbled across this by accident - http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/165469-robs-obsy-build/page__st__40 Apart from the messy design, can anyone spot what looks like a rather worrying problem with the ceeforms? (scroll right down too near the bottom)

    240V MR16 Lamps

Unfortunately it's going to cost £2.60 to send it back & the lamp's only £2.50 so its not really worth it!
