Yes, the blue on the Wylex is particularly vivid :wink: Never sure whether to bundle all those functional earths into a single terminal or assign them to the individual circuit earths. My fingers are always itching for the cable ties, if only to make things a bit tidier!

In my experience, I must say, WPD seem to be one of the more diligent and reasonable DNOs in the UK, so for an overhead supply (which I assume this is), I wouldn't imagine they'll ask that much for a change of supply position. Few hundred maybe?

It wouldn't have been that there were other things switched on at the same time, unless the oven is on the same circuit as the water heater, which is unlikely. Is is a fuse thats blown or a circuit breaker thats tripped? Keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. It maybe that the element...

Agreed - it cannot be plugged into a 13a socket. Indeed, in my opinion its on the edge for a continental schuko plug and socket, as supplied. The only domestic plug and socket arrangement I'd be happy seeing it plugged into here would be a BS546 15a (old style large round pin British sockets)...
