Hi i would just like to say thankyou for all the replies everything is now working fine after i replaced the motor. :D

O/k if its not the motor is there anything else i can do ? or do i just scrap it ?. The only thing i dont understand is how it can pack up from not being used for 2 months i dont think the motor is seized as i can turn it with the plastic part that the plate sits on.

Hi thankyou for reply yes that is what i mean the drive for the plate does not turn but the microwave works is it still safe to use ? is there anything else i can do if i take it apart ?.

Hi i have a goodmans microwave oven model GSS20 the plate no longer turns round i have checked the plastic part that the plate sits on and it's fine what else can i check ? is this trouble a diy job or do i need to buy a new microwave ?. Thankyou for any advice anyone has to give me.

Hi what do you mean by csa ? the cable from the house fuse box is rated 45amp both cu have rcd protection is this the information you need to advise me ?. Thankyou for your help.
