Thanks for the laugh, I need it, boiler noise driving me mental. Still need to know what is making my water this colour. Power flush could well be pointless if this colour comes back. Is buying new rads a solution?

A chemical flush, not a power flush was done on installation, as per the installation instructions, do I still have any come back on the fitter please? He only guaranteed his work for 12 months. Thanks for posting.

I have noticed that the noise is mainly made first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening. Is this symptomatic of the valve please? If it was the water would it be more consistently happening? Can I adjust the valve myself?

Is it possible that the water has got dirty since the power flush was done? The boiler has been ok for 6 months, so I'm not sure the setting was incorrect when it was installed. It was a long day, but there were two of them. As for the price, we did have 3 quotes and they were all roughtly...

When you say "we" who are you please? Vaillant have said if they come out again and the water isn't clean they will charge us. nice bunch.

we didn't ask him to fix the leak. everyone we spoke to said it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. i will have to check the benchmark certificate, but he put it in after the boiler was installed. what do you charge for a power flush please?
