possible to replace a NSB06 fuse cartridge with a NSB16?

Having 3 years ago had ours done, the regs call for the load to be on the walls of the house and not on the existing joists. ie the new floor is above the joists. Its normally done by inserting 2 Steels across the house and putting 6x2' between them on hangers and then boarding with 1 hour fire...

possible to replace a NSB06 fuse cartridge with a NSB16?

If you" dont know how to comply with P1 or whatever" then you shouldnt be touching your electrics, just like the "joiner" shouldnt have. I would hope there are 6 wires coming into your socket for you to spur from If you didnt have two great RSJ's craned into the house to support the floor of...

possible to replace a NSB06 fuse cartridge with a NSB16?

Wiring a 13amp socket from a 6 amp circuit is dodgy and illegal no matter how old the building is As is boarding over the joists to make a room. If your turning a loft into a room it must have RSJ's fitted and the floor must'nt put weight on the joists. You also need fires doors fitted along...

possible to replace a NSB06 fuse cartridge with a NSB16?

The 6amp mcb is there to protect the wires for the lights which are probably 1.5mm. if you upgraded the mcb you run a very real risk of melting that thin wire and causing a fire So the answer is NO. You need an elecdtrician to remove the old very dodgy wiring and put in a suitable ring or...

help!!! bare wires sticking out of skirting board.....

All that test did is prove what a marketing gimic some cables are. monster cabkes are a marketing dream. Of course a coat hanger sounds at least the same, its 3 times the thickness. Moving to mains cable from thin speaker wire decreases the resistance a lot and hence its the speaker cones...

help!!! bare wires sticking out of skirting board.....

Yep, you can spend silly money on speaker cable and interconnects. Not worth it for the average Argos hi fi though I'm currently running stuff that costs £35 quid a metre which I think sounds better than most I have Tried. I have run Mains cable in the past and its not bad. I have also demoed...

help!!! bare wires sticking out of skirting board.....

The audiophiles amongst up know that one of the best kept secrets is that mains cable makes superb speaker wire. Sound quality the same as proper speaker wires costing £50 plus a meter. Big improvement in bass over the normal thin twin cable don't believe me, go try it!
