    Newbie help! Replacement Fluorescent unit not working

    UPDATE: Found a fuse and switch lurking in the dark recesses of the garage! Replaced the fuse and power is there! Next problem: Only one of the twin tubes is working. Swapped tubes and swapped starter thingys. It seems that only one side of the light fitting is working- any ideas?

    Main Fuse is OK (15A) which is the house. My freezer and outlet sockets are working OK in the garage its the lighting circuit which aint! I will connect another fitting to see what is happening. Not sure is there is a FCU in the garage so, again, I will take a look Thanks

    Bought a new 6ft Fluorescent twin light (Batten type) for my garage to replace old one. Connected it up as per the old one. Two-way-switch job. Turned on. Nothing. Nada. Nichts. Wass going on? Two Reds twisted together and taped up together Earths twisted - sleeved and connected...
