    Maybe so, but the guys from Clarion don’t seem to know a great deal or care too much and wear Clarion uniform and drive Clarion vehicles. Like you say, if they are contractors then they’re not amazing lol

    The guy that came today didn’t seem to check everything either which I expect nothing less from Clarion operatives, he didn’t even isolate anything before taking the covers off the thermostats.     The thermostats seemed to be set to just over 60 degrees (I’ve attached photos of them again just to be sure) Unless I’m blind but can’t see the immersion kw info on the cylinder (see attached)

    Ah thanks for clarifying, I did suspect it was to do with the cylinder tank as it connecting to it via the copper pipe. Makes sense now.

    I’m not using the boost, as it’s so insufficient and costs a fortune for inadequate boost heat. When the hot water runs out running a bath I resort to boiling the kettle for top ups.     I suspect like you there could be more to this too, what it is exactly I don’t yet know. The heaters are 1kW if this helps, the below screenshot info suggests mine are app-controlled, they are not, I think those are only for the WiFi-enabled models

    I have no idea, but the operative from Clarion coming tomorrow I hope to get him to check all this. But when you say 30 kWh per night it’s actually showing the total usage for that day not just during the night

    That’s what I was lead to believe that I’m on an economy 7 tariff, still might be worth me calling Octopus to see if there is a better tariff to go on. Just taken a photo of the info stuck on the water tank. It says it was produced in Feb 2023

    I can’t see where I can change that, the only thing I can appear to do is set the clock to correct time and the button next to where it says ‘Water heating’: On or Off.
