what does a ASV consist of?? is it a full strip down? just rang the agencies they said they will get back to me.... i didnt tell them i recently applied for a perm position and got knocked back dont no if that was un ethical of me....

whats an ASV ?? i recently got delcined a perm position with BG will they know this??

hey guys thanks for the posts.... just a little background on my plumbing/gas....i started in 2011....completed a NVQ 1&2 in plumbing and heating i didnt do the nvq3....i was then sent onto a fastrack gas acs course by my employer who was a sole trader....it was a chap i knew who worked for...

yes i am typical pongo and yes the old customers would have been on the end of my SA80 by now..... but its just when i applied for this job i had alot riding on it...then i got declined.... you try so hard and get kicked back down it really hurts you...then on top of all that you post a thread...

recently applied for a tech gas engineer role made it through to the compentency based interview which i tought went really well.... anyway the guy rang and said i have not been successfull due to giving short answers on questions asked about adpapting to change?, a difficult customer...

i was thinking of calling them but dont wanna sound desperate as the guy in the interview room ssid he'd call me tomoro and he didnt.

hey all..... cut a long story short...applied for a tech gas engineer role with BG passed the online assessment and all that went to the interview few weeks back they made me sign a couple of bits of paperwork asked me my uniform/shoe size...took copy of all my id's .... even explained the job...

ive got a face to face this week in a hotel and i believe a practical up in leeds the following week but the recruitment ppl rang to change my face to face times now wen i login to bg website my 2hr practical slot isnt ther anymore so dnt really no if ile be assessed in this hotel or what...

hey guys really appreciate the feedback.... regarding the 2hr practical some folks r telling me i will have to service a back boiler and r/s boiler, will i be provided with manufacturers instructions or will i have to conduct full strip down services???im saying this cuz ive not really serviced...

hey ollski thanks for the reply, wow it sounds prettt stressfull lol, what does ur avergage day consist of some ppl been telling me 8 services per day minimum surely a full strip fown service it would be impossible to do 8 per day or is it just myths.??
