I have got two tanks in the loft, one small the other large. The small one does have a cold water feed controlled by a float valve

can anyone help me with this? If i can get some advice as to what step to take next that would be great!!!!

Yeah, the hooks completely useless as well, no room to hang anything, previous owner put those.flaming hooks everywhere. How can I tell what system I have, as far as I know we have a gravity fed system

also, would me taking a radiator off in the bathroom effect anything?

btw, I know what the motorised valve is now (plastic box with switch on top and side on pipe junction coming from hot water cylinder)and pump(metal box with disc with groove in centre of it). Thanks for all this help guys, i've been having a right ear chewing off the wife and if I can get this...

its comin from a thermostat on the inside wall of the airing cupboard. See pic.

Really sorry but what do these motorized valves look like? Dont have a gas cooker or fire.

i have done that and if it is some sort of trip switch then the boiler hasnt tripped as the button has not popped out

do u mean pressing the overheat thermostat switch?

In fact, Its definately a Profile 40e, just found a sticker with it on inside a little hatch on the bottom.

I've had a good delve through images on the internet and although it doesnt say on the boiler itself, it looks exactly like a Potterton Profile

Hi, I currently have a Triton T70si shower and would like to upgrade to a Creda Thermostatic Power Shower. Is it a case of a straight swap? I have a gravity fed system.

It's a potterton boiler for definite, any idea how I can identify the model? The outer casing just says potterton

fails on hot water and central heating, nothing is coming on. If it is the timer, are they easy to replace? How can I check whether it is definitely the timer?
